My P365X comes with the replaceable rear sight for a quick switch to a Romeo Zero. With my age and eyesight regression I have been contemplating the switch. This is my edc.

I wonder how the sight will make for EDC. Anyone have optics on their everyday?

My hesitancy comes from... I can hit vitals fairly easy within 8 yards without glasses. Would the comfort change be worth the switch.

I hate wearing my glasses but I can see distances very well. It's just my arms are getting too short.

I am no fan of optics on EDC pieces...

Range and competition shooting IMHO

There are great arguments for and against optics on EDC.

Personally, I do not have optics on either of my EDC's. It's not that I have an aversion to them. Frankly, it's economics for me. I can shoot, or I can get an optic. Until I can get readily accessible powder and primers back near the pre-COVID pricing those are my choices. So, I choose to train with what I've got.

In summer/shorts weather I carry an FMK 9C1G2 (Compact) and in the winter I carry a Springfield XD9 full size. I prefer the Springfield because I have pretty good sized paws and i like the feel of it better. Winter clothes conceal my XD9 fine. Summer clothes... I could probably get away with it but I'm really self conscious about printing. I may get a compact XD9 next year. I owe the wifey a Glock first.

Target aquisition speed is paramount. Whatever you can get on target the fastest AND most accurately at your preferred distance(s) is what you should run.

Get her that Glock James.

My wife (yes I re-married) sent me a text last Friday. She said looking over our monthly budget I think we should go to the gun store and get a new gun and more hollow points after work before happy hour.
