The wife, her two sisters, and their mom are setting out for Phuktucky today at noon to see some family down there. MIL ain't getting any younger and isn't in the greatest health. Will in all likelihood be her last trip down their.

The trip was my wife's idea. She is saint for getting in the car with the old woman, and one of the sisters, for the 5+ hour drive. The MIL and the one sister have been already been bitching about the planned route, the hotel they're staying at, the plan for meeting the various relatives, where and when they're eating, who's riding where in the car...

JIC it all goes sideways, I gave her Del's # if she needs any help disposing of bodies or needs bailed out of jail.

Carroll county. They all made it back alive. She didn't get kidnapped and married off to a cousin. Even managed to bring me home a bottle of Blanton's bourbon...

btw...
My Mrs. and I enjoyed our time in Kentucky very much.
The people were very friendly everywhere we went, and we especially enjoyed the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum.

We found 2 different Mexican restaurants not far from where we were staying that were ECXELLENT!!

We also ate breakfast several times at a Waffle House where the ladies who worked there were a hoot!
They were super friendly, and the place was really busy with only 2 waitresses and a cook, but they made it fun and enjoyable to be there.
