As usual, I disagree with Mr Friedman. We should absolutely blame the greens. They own this...

As Bloomberg Businessweek reported on Sept. 27, when it comes to natural gas, "inventories at European storage facilities are at historically low levels for this time of year. Pipeline flows from Russia and Norway have been limited. That's worrying as calmer weather has reduced output from wind turbines, while Europe's aging nuclear plants are being phased out or are more prone to outages — making gas even more necessary. No wonder European gas prices surged by almost 500 percent in the past year and are trading near record."

Oh, darn. The wind didn't blow hard enough? No shit, asshole. It's weather. It cannot be counted on to supply the energy needs of a single family home, let alone a fucking continent.

That's easy to fix. All they need to do is put big ass fans in front of the windmills so they can make electricity on non-windy days.

meanwhile, here in Missouri, Ameren Electric built it's biggest wind farm in Northern Missouri, but is forced to stop it at night because it has killed some endangered bats!  They are also in court to try and force a rate increase to offset the cost of the windfarm that can only run during daylight hours....

On a positive note 22 species were recently removed from the endangered species list...because they are extinct.
