Breaking Blocks of cement and Ice must be standard training for the DPRK, I remember seeing videos like this from the ministry dating back to the early 2000's at least.

My Platoon Commander in boot camp was a rambo kind a guy.
3 combat tours in Vietnam. He was in his early 30's
One thing about Marine DI's, they do everything the recruits do.
Recruits do it once, DI's do it 4 times a year ... you could tell that guy
was in terrible pain on the long runs, but he always ran our young asses into the ground
and never quit singing cadence while he did it.
My point is... the guy a was real honest to God hard core badass... and he worshiped
the ground Korean Marines walked on.. he said they were the meanest toughest bastards on the planet
