this is a long article but well worth debating.  Kevin Williamson never pulls a punch.  Even when I disagree with him he leaves me contemplating. He starts with the democrats(party of pillage and freaks) but the GOP (gaggle of putz's) don't get off easy.

In a sense, conservatives are still struggling with the question of 2016: Who deserves to lose more?

Not a one of them on the national stage in any meaningful way could articulate their way out of a paper bag.

Conservativism IS superior to Liberalism. In every single meaningful way it is superior. But not a one of those putz's can tell America why. They just ASSume people know why. Idiots. The whole lot of them. Conservativism can build a nation. Liberalism can only tear it down.

You strip away all the rhetoric, all the hate, all the larceny, and all the BS and it comes down to this one single thing; "Should government run your life, or should YOU run your life." Liberalism believes the former, Conservativism believes the latter. TRUE Conservativism that is. Not this ersatz crap the Mitch McConnells of the world are trying to pass off.

Well, since the leftists often claim "'real' communism hasn't been tried", can't REAL conservatives claim "'real' Free-Market hasn't been tried"?

There have been poor, under served, under privileged, etc... since the dawn of time. And guess what, they will be here with us  until the earth is no more. If money/services solved that problem, it would have been solved billions of times over by now. Money isn't the problem. Services or the lack thereof isn't the problem. Housing or the lack thereof isn't the problem. "Rich" people "not paying their 'fair' share" isn't the problem. Etc..., etc..., etc... ad nauseum, ad infinitum. The root of the problem will never be solved. Communism won't solve it. Marxism won't solve it. Socialism won't solve it. Nor will capitalism. People need to accept the fact that sometimes there are just no academic solutions to problems. It doesn't mean you don't care about people, it doesn't mean you don't help people, it doesn't mean you look down on people, it just means there are some problems that cannot, will not be solved. Ever. Accept it or reject it. It's up to you.

That said, of those 4 systems mentioned, ONE stands head and shoulders above all the others in terms of lifting people out of poverty, and that ladies and gentlemen is CAPITALISM.
