But, But you cannot own a pistol registered after 1972 in DC. Come on follow the law. may be owned legally?
https://legalclarity.org/are-guns-allowed-in-dc-the-districts-firearm-laws/

gun laws suck and will only tie the guilty in courts and make legal responsable 2a people in jail.

The PedoJoe administration's "Operation Allies Welcome Program" in full effect.
Yes, you read that right.
85,000 UNvetted Afghans entered the United States during the last admin.

While they say they were vetted, that's just trying to cover their asses.

This is just the beginning, folks. That you can count on.

"Lakanwal was granted asylum in April 2025 under President Donald Trump."
  - every report that doesn't leave out this information  (..cough.. Fox)

"According to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, there have been 8,000 such individuals since Trump took office. Noem and Patel have both suggested in recent congressional testimony that the administration had carefully scrutinized all of them."

In our efforts to do what we said we would do for those that supported us, we managed to not only abandon them over there, we let incompetence and hubris reign over here.

We turned a somewhat manageable dumpster fire into a complete shit show.

It will be a miracle if we ever get anyone to trust us again. I know I'd never trust us. Our government is about as trustworthy as the legacy media... and I'm being generous.

It's a tough situation
The combat Marines, Seals, soldiers and NATO forces always had Afghan interpreters with them.
They went through hell together and they moved heaven and earth to get their "terps"
and their families out. Sometimes they succeeded, but usually they failed.
Afghans who helped Nato forces paid with their lives when Biden bugged out.
It was a madhouse once Biden sounded the retreat and there is no way the thousands who managed to get out
were properly vetted. Many had a legitimate claim but I suspect that most did not.
Most Afghans who worked with American or NATO forces were hunted down and killed by the Taliban.

Is the "new"/"non-legacy" media any more trustworthy? It seems like the bar has been lowered across the board IMHO....

Pretty much ALL media is between D and E on the HUMINT trustworthiness scale if we're being honest.

I have a friend high enough up in Canadian defense that he claims anyone pulled out really was properly vetted. Also (used to) work hand in hand with American forces - definitely didn't get some good people out but doesn't believe for a minute they had the wrong people.

I read an article last night that said the shooter was a trusted member of the Afghan forces fighting the Taliban.
He was vetted and one of the last guys out after Biden surrendered.
The article said the Taliban has kidnapped family members still in Afghanistan and forced the shooter to
do what he did via threats of torture and murder of family members still in country.
I have no idea if this is true, but if it is, there will be many more incidents like this.
