JP   Just pace yourself and try to do the little things that you can and then plan your next moves. In the Unstable arena you find yourself in the mind always says I can do that then the Body Says Yea right.  But You can rewire yourself to stop look and listen to the clues  and then do the baby steps if your not at the top of the stairs.  But when in doubt Think About it and If not sure ask for assistance  then try and see if you build the levels back up.  One win At A Time.  Be Safe Move Safe and look for a soft spot to land if you have to .  Get well Soon ,You Have A Lot On Your Plate  so Be Safe About all the easy stuff. :sofa:

JP I hope nothing but the best for you. :D

Don't let your Pride be your Guide. >:(

Small steps , know your limitations.

Hoping your Doc has a good game plan.

Look on the bright side.

Everyone will be serving you on Thanksgiving and your wife won't be complaining that you are in the recliner. ;D

Hey, at least you're not getting a camera shoved up your butt like me this afternoon...

Good Luck , Had mine on the 13th.

Other than nearly shitting my pants , was mostly uneventful.

2 polyps sent to pathology.

What did you prep with?

I had Su-Prep liquid. first dose I never left the toilet for two hours just to save toilet paper. ;D

Plus the less you wipe the less irritation. :)

Took two days to get back to regular. :o

I have to get one every year. I have quite a prolific polyp farm in my gut.

Wishing you all the very best with this John and please take this with the good intention that is meant:-
Possibly parasitic condition via TGondi - as you haven't got cats, BIG possibility through eating undercooked meat (such as chicken venison, pork, lamb).
Again, all the very best and this needs sorting very much sooner than.

This just a flexable sigmoidoscopy?  I was given the option to do it Awake  :o   So that's what I'm doing.
A lot less prep work for this one.

When JP mentioned it I looked it up.

Possibly Viral or Bacterial.

Short range and long range symptoms.

At least with bacterial antibiotics should help.

Hopefully we can keep the Floors and Walls and Stairs from beating him up too badly. :D

For the last two years or so my " vacation" has been home in bed sick. Dealing with an autoimmune disease can be tough. Not just on your body but your mind too. Especially when you're someone who has worked and been productive their whole life. You will need to change your way of thinking. Instead of your life revolving around work now it will revolve around your health. Job number one and the most important is to take care of yourself. Without your health you're no good to anybody including yourself.Nobody at the end says their one biggest regret was that they didn't work more. Your job is not who you are. You're much more than that.

My wife and I will be pulling the plug this spring. She will only be 61-1/2 and I'll just be over 64. Met with an attorney that specializes in working to get disability through Social Security. If approved we would get our full retirement amount as if we worked till 67. At 67 in converts from disability to your normal retirement. We are just toast. Between our disease, side effects from meds and just getting older we're in rough shape. The only thing we need to be  concerned about is health insurance. Ever since Obama rammed through that abortion called Affordable it's been anything but. Our plan runs from March 1st to Feb. 28th. We still have 3 months to go and we've already hit our  deductible max and should hit out of pocket max soon. $18,000 in fucking deductibles and another $6,000 or so for insurance. $24,0000 in a single year.

I hope you get well soon and things don't drag out. Try and keep a positive attitude and enjoy the good moments. The best high I've ever gotten in life is when everything stops hurting, the almost constant nausea fades and my head clears. Sometimes it's just a moment or an hour but it's a great feeling, being well for even just a small period of time.

Ive only done the colonoscopy thing awake. The most uncomfortable part of the whole thing is dealing with the embarrassment of someone putting a camera in your butthole. Other than that, mildly uncomfortable is the best description. Yes I have to do it every 3 years, and yes they do cut polyps out. Kind weird watching it on TV. Best part it, when you are done you can remember everything and you can drive yourself to get food. Last time I had the procedure done, I was done and dressed and walking out before the guy before me had even gotten dressed.

Well.... when I get my ass probed, I have to get stuck with a needle in my stomach twice a day for a week prier, and twice a day for a week after!  Because I'm on blood thinners for the rest of my life and they can't do the colonoscopy while taking the rat poison.... :harhar:
