Staying logged in on multiple devices

I don't recall what the behavior was on the old forum, but it seems like if I log in on my work PC, then later log in on my phone, when I come back to my work PC I have to log in again...and vice versa. Like you can only be logged in on one device at a time. Or maybe there's some kind of time limit involved? By time limit, I'm not referring to the stay logged in for 1 week, forever, etc setting. Does that sound right? If so, can it be changed?

The two logins should be independent of each other. I'm logged in on both my phone, and my browser. 

I think the length of time setting is just how long it takes for the login cookie to expire?  I seem to have to re-login on my browser a lot more often than I do my phone, even if I set it on 'forever'.  It's random.  I haven't paid a lot of attention to that because I'm always using incognito mode on my browsers and have various different security plugins that I assume  may have an affect. 

I'll do some digging and see if anyone on the SMF forum has complained about login times.

Yeah, perhaps it's a buggy keep me logged in setting. It's not like I sat there with my browser and phone both logged in and watched one cancel out the other. It was pure speculation on my part because whenever I had to re-login, it seemed that I was always on a different device last. Anyway, it's not the end of the world, just a bit of an annoyance.
