So what are we using these days for set up sheets
I have a monkey for set ups now and need a decent set up sheet for him to follow

I just use active reports and edit the setup sheet with open office.

A long time ago I spent a bunch of time creating my own report but the reports that come with the newer versions of MC aren't too bad.

I was using X+ for a long time but my boss is cheap and X+ is no longer free.

I use a customized Active Report.

What kind of info you want on that sheet Hardmill?

We use a custom application to make the tool list and some error checking from the nc code, then merge the excel sheet with the pdf screenshof from Mastercam.

If you want to make it from the gcode/nc file instead lemme know, I'll set you up.

That's just the one we use, the fields and data could be anything you like. The bonus you get from that is that you can setup special conditions for the code, like only allow g54, don;t allow 0 feedrates or spindle speeds, don't allow zdepths more than X, etc...

Better just the tool list and pics
That would confuse the monkey
