I'm looking for a replacement inserted end mill that is 1 1/4 x 3" length of cut minimum. I'd like to find a tool with positive inserts to replace a mill we're currently using that uses negative rake inserts. It works but it beats the chit out of everything.

Iscar has a tool that is 1 1/4 x 3.3" length of cut but if there's something else out there I'd like to compare them.

Thanks!

Have you looked through the mitsubishi site?

Haven't looked yet but I will.

We used to use Mitsubishi quite a bit but we lost our tool rep and haven't in quite a while. It's good stuff.

I was going to suggest Kennametal Harvi Ultra 8x.  We have one and it works pretty well.  But I don't think they make them below 1.9.

The only one I've found so far is from Iscar. It looks like a good mill but with a $1300 price tag (plus inserts) it's going to be tough to justify.
