Cuba is a mild case, u.s. embargoes have likely claimed the lives of millions of citizens of the dprk...  Inequality in a regime doesn't absolve the owner of the world reserve currency of responsibility of the result of embargoing a nation, it brings inevitable devastastation upon the people when sustained for years and even generations...
[/quote]
Dude, you need to slow your roll and get some perspective.
1. an embargo is not a blockade. They can buy whatever they like.
2. Blaming the US for for the failure of 2 specific military dictatorships, or communist dictatorships is preposterous on an outrageous proportion.
3. Communism failed in every place it has ever been tried.
4. US and other nations were invested in free trade in Venezuela before they nationalized oil infrastructures and decimated their economy in thee richest oil nation in the world.

I was only referring to North Korea, I certainly don't hold the U.S. accountable for the worlds problems.

I wouldn't have thought anything about the cuba stuff before coming here, I think seeing the poverty and talking to the locals has given me a lot of perspective.

I don't think that there was ever an embargo on food or medicine, was there?

On the flip side of that, didn't the US threaten to pull financial aid from any Country who continued to trade with Cuba?

Watching people suffer at the hands of a crap government definitely gives some perspective.
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Maybe consider the other 800 pound commie regime in that area; China keeping NK as a proxy war state against the west.
China has a long history of ghastly human rights abuses that are happening as we type.
Stop voting for commies, 'cuase you have to shoot your way out. (not calling anyone names, just a general statement  )

I can drink more rum, no problem, somehow in the heat I can drink a lot more, in the resort they would pour a tall glass that was 3 quarters rum and a quarter coca cola, i would have like 5 of those in the pool??? Anyway, in cuba, rum is cheap!!

It must be, but thats kind of redundant if they are filling the glasses with it? Also water is very expensive here!!!
