I was thinking of traveling in ontario this year, there are a few friends we could visit, including some new ones from cuba!!

Nope....and as the wife is on heavy antibiotics for the next 6 weeks, and as such is immuno-compronised, we'll be staying home and very much limiting who we see in the short-term...

It sux but it's best for her at this time.

I was hoping to have my son and granddaughter fly down from Michigan this Christmas BUT... typical prices for that flight are about 360 RT per ticket. Now they are about 620. Ridiculous.

Not going anywhere but we are having our youngest daughter with her 2 kids come up from Florida.

They didn't say if they were bringing any gifts but I think it might be a hot new toy out there called Omicron.

Is that a Transformer?

Daughter in Virginia is fixing to have grandbaby #2. Due date was the 21st. Wife was supposed to fly out on the 11th and stay to help her out until me and our son drive out on the 23rd to meet the new arrival and have Christmas, before bringing her home on the 26th.

Daughter had Dr appt yesterday, moved he due date to the 17th. This makes her and the wife nervous. We are slow at work so I told the wife I'd drive her out there this Saturday if she wants to go earlier. Give her time to wrap up Christmas shopping, get things at work settled, etc.

Daughter started having contractions and what my wife called 'other pre-labory activities' at Target this morning. I don't want to know what, 'other pre-labory activities', even means. I just told her I'm good to roll out on an hour's notice.

We spent 5 days in Gatlinburg TN for Thanksgiving.  Good lord that place was PACKED.  Nice cabin tho with an indoor pool, no I'm not a 1%er, but my father-in-law is lol

My wife, two daughters, My daughters boyfriend, and I are going to AZ to visit my parents the week before Xmas. If Emperor Biden tries to mandate a no-fly vax rule, we will stay home.

My wife's parents live in Greeneville. This summer we went down for a week visit and spent a day in Gatlinburg. I really like eastern TN. If the right job came up in a few years I could see us moving there.
