Is there a way to quickly jump to unread posts?

That takes you to threads with unread posts, but when I click on one of them, it dumps me to the beginning of the thread.

just on the first time you do it, do it again and it will be good

The way this forum works is actually pretty neat once you get used to it.

When you join the main page, it will have color on the Icons next to the forums that have new posts in them since your last visit.  If you click on the colored Icon, it will only display the threads that have new posts in them.

Then next to those posts, there is an icon that say's 'new'.  Click on that little 'new' icon, and it will take you to the first unread post in that thread.

Not for me. Always goes to page 1, post #1.

I went into each sub-forum and clicked the mark read button in the upper right.  This seemed to reset the last message read so that it all works as described. Don't know if this will help your situation or not, but it worked for me...
