In the five years since California voters approved a broad legal marketplace for marijuana, thousands of greenhouses have sprouted across the state. But these, under their plastic canopies, conceal a secret.

The cultivator who operates the grow north of Sacramento holds a coveted state-issued license, permitting the business to produce and sell its plants. But it's been virtually impossible for the grower to turn a profit in a struggling legal industry where wholesale prices for cannabis buds have plunged as much as 70% from a year ago, taxes approach 50% in some areas and customers find far better deals in the thriving underground marketplace.

But they told us that by regulating pot it would solve all of the problems.

It's the same here. Taxed and regulated beyond anything else. People here tell me that a 1mg vape cartridge goes for $75-$85 in the sore can be gotten for $20-$25 outside of the stores. Flower goes for 55 ish for 3.5mgs. that puts it at almost $450 an ounce. My daughter says she gets an ounce for$160. It's no wonder the black market is still thriving. Oh and the useless cannabis commission took over two years to let the first store open. Meanwhile they get six figure salaries for being incompetent.

The legalization of this wasn't to make money it was to reward those loyal to the State and Federal government who needed a way to collect our tax payer money under the lie of offering an illegal item legally all the time knowing it would never succeed.

For a Small Business to get Health Insurance in the state like ours you must go through Covered California for this state. In every state there is the state group for health insurance under the ACA(Obamacare) law. It is a rip off and fees added to everything because the whole things put in place to add to the government payroll at the Federal and State level. Not sure then why do State and Federal Employees even have and belong to unions?  Prime Example through them to get Dental insurance from Delta Dental is $240 a month for a policy that has less benefits a higher copay for services that I have had personally for years for our family. When I first signed up our company after the AB5 laws got passed I was told I had no choice. The next year I was able to get out of it and go back to only our private policy. It cost me $462 a year for a better policy with a smaller detectable. So through the State process it was $2,880 verses the $462 a difference of $2,418 and it was a less than what I have privately. Why is that? Because everyone need to get their piece of the pie on the amount to make their money and that is what is going on with the ACA(Obamacare).

This whole thing with legalizing Dope is the same ruse make it look like they are making an effort so more and more people can get their cut in the process all the while knowing it would never really work, but it lets those that want to feel good about their actions feel good because it was legalized. Medial reasons for using it are not part of this conversation and not what I am referring to here. I am talking about the for fun look how cool I am use of it that the States have latched on to in the hope they can look cool and get voters to vote for them because they did their best to legalize the use of Dope. Get hurt on the job and test positive for the use of Marijuana and guess what the Insurance company will deny your claim. Think I am off my rocker then fly on a plane with a pilot who is stoned or have open heart surgery from a Doctor that is stoned. Maybe you're cool with that, but I am not.
