Appalacian Trail in 99 days?

This guy does through hikes on various trails across the country. The one he's on now is called the American Discovery Trail. Sometimes his girlfriend (wife?) joins him, but she is a teacher so doesn't go all the way. I don't believe he has a permanent job, or home for that matter. They usually get around 25 miles a day in.

For some reason, his plan took him through southern Kansas in July and August. There were times when it was 114F during the hike. I thought that was pretty stupid. I'm sure he had some logical reason, though.

I've been reading allot of these hiking posts on a site called "The Trek". individual hikers will blog about their encounters and share pictures. Some very beautiful country.

On top of that my wife shared with me recently on you tube like your video where people share their hiking videos.
The last one I watched was the CDT and it only took us ten minutes to complete it =)
