Is there any way to change the default font in Mastercam 2022 from OLF SimpleSansCJK OC to Box?

We do a lot of engraving and always want to use box, it would be nice to not have to change it every time.

Have you tried changing it at
System Config/Dimensions and Notes/Note Text ???

There is no way to select Mastercam (Box) Font.

Go To: Wireframe, Create Letters, defaults to "OLF SimpleSansCJK OC"
You have to drop down the menu and select "Mastercam (Box) Font".
There is no place to set this as a default, been this way for a few versions.
The default OLF font will not chain for engraving.

It looks like you can maybe change true type fonts there but selecting Box isn't an option.

i gave in a couple years ago and just started using the OLF font. If i use the create letters option, I window select it. if you use the drafting note option you can chain it, and that is the method I use most often now. it's a pretty fast way to engrave.

Yeah, using the OLF fonts aren't too awful but I think it's a downgrade from the box, for my purposes anyway.

I have always edited my box fonts so they're one click chaining, keeping the tool engaged on every letter. I don't like window chaining where the tool jumps around as Mastercam sees fit to put it.

I don't really understand why Mastercam decided to go with the true type fonts anyway, it's not a damn word processor.  :realmad:

try chaining, on Draft Notes.  it works like you want, I think. set the option to chain and it will pick the entire note at once it's pretty slick.
