My co-worker turned me onto Jocko podcast in October 2018. Started around episode 205-ish. Got to like 216 and there were too many inside jokes so I started back at the beginning... Episode 1. Took me about a year but I caught up and re-listened to the episodes I first started with.

Great leadership development stuff. You listen to the Jordan Petersen episode yet?

No. I don't know who Jordan Petersen is.

He's a psychologist that basically specializes in personality traits as they pertain to interpersonal relationships. He's a professor at The University of Toronto IIRC. He's got a GOOD handle on the human psyche.

QuoteAs unlikely as it may have once seemed, reports indicate Elon Musk may actually end up the owner of a newly-private Twitter after all. Both The Washington Post and The New York Times are reporting that Twitter's board is seriously considering Musk's offer to buy the company, with the corporate governing body's attitude towards the offer changing following Musk's outlining of his plan to source the funds to make real his $46.5 billion offer to buy the company.

Twitter's board met on Sunday to discuss Musk's offer, and the NYT reports that they then entered into negotiations with Musk early on Monday morning to hammer out additional details including the timeline for close and what, if any, financial protections Twitter would enjoy were any potential deal to go south post-announcement.

Both reports stress that the deal is not yet final and could still fall apart, but given where we started it's kind of amazing that it's even gotten this far. Musk's bid was initially seen by critics as undervaluing the company significantly despite it representing a premium on the current, depressed Twitter stock price, and the board even instituted a 'poison pill' policy to try to block Musk from acquiring a much more significant ownership position in the company.

Yes yes. I know...

What's behind it is Musk owning Twitter. Twitter is the social media communication King. No other platform comes remotely close and Elon knows it. Twitter = Power. Musk understands that. (Plus, he practically stole it at that lowball price)

The typical morons are besides themselves because it won't be a 1 way platform anymore.
Of course the sky is falling.

Dooshbag Rob Reiner of course didn't waste the opportunity to bash Trump.
Fucking idiot.

QuoteActor Rob Reiner wrote, "Now that Elon Musk is buying Twitter, the question for all of us is: Will he allow a Criminal who used this platform to lie and spread disinformation to try to overthrow the US Government to return and continue his Criminal activity? And if he does, how do we combat it?"

I cannot imagine going to Twitter for political opinions when the whole app is full of titties. The whole right vs left argument is meaningless unless its about which one hangs lower.
