KIEL, Wis. (WBAY/Gray News) - The parents of three Wisconsin middle school students are asking the school district to stop a sexual harassment investigation into their sons and clear their records of any sort of charges or investigation.

The parents say that according to the Kiel Area School District, the Kiel Middle School students are under investigation for mispronouncing pronouns when referring to a classmate.

Last month, the parents of the three eighth-graders were notified their sons were being charged by school district officials with sexual harassment. A section of Title IX prohibits gender-based harassment in the form of name-calling on the basis of sex.

The district claims the boys were not referring to the student's requested pronouns of "they" and "them."

Rose Rabidoux, the mother of a student involved, told WBAY she accompanied her son the day after the notification to an interview with school officials. She told them the use of the pronouns was confusing to her son, and he had no obligation to refer to the classmate by those pronouns.

"Sexual harassment, that's rape, that's incest, that's inappropriate touching," Rabidoux said. "What did my son do? He's a little boy. He told me that he was being charged with sexual harassment for not using the right pronouns."

This is fucking stupid. You can't force someone to call you a certain "pronoun". That's entitlement plain and simple. I'm 'entitled to be address however I want to be addressed...
Well I'm entitled to call you whatever the fuck I want to call you.

So because their wittle feelings got hurt, the pronoun entitlement wins.

People really need to stop catering to feelings.

The scariest part of this to me, is that 8th graders are being investigated for Title IX sexual harassment for nothing more than not using a 'preferred pronoun'. This is something that could follow them around for the rest of their lives. They're just f-n kids for f's sake. By todays activists standards, my entire school would have been expelled for the way we talked to each other.

Almost everything about the public school system makes me mad these days. It's so frustrating, the hold the school administration have on you.

When my son was in highschool. he got suspended for 2 weeks for bullying one of his best friends. The kid that got bullied said, my son was not involved. And my son said he was not involved. But they said they had video. I asked to see the video, but they said that I needed a warrant to see that video. those 2 weeks that he was suspended were during baseball try-outs, so he didn't make the team, which he would have done with no problem had he been at practice. why in the HELL do I need to get a warrant to see that video??? I talked to a lawyer and by the time we would have got the warrant and seen the video, it would have been too late for him to make the baseball team anyway.  But all of this came down to one bitchy administrator that I could not do anything about. It's been ten years and I'm still bitter of that deal.

I think that it's time for "gender" and "gender identity" to be separated. Any adult over the age of 40 knows that they are different. We already have those cute symbols for male and female. Let's just add the symbol for infinity and assign that to represent gender identity.

And leave "they" and "them" alone. Make up some new words, those words already mean something and I want to use them (see what I mean?)as intended without subjecting people to confusion.
