Quote from: beej on August 12, 2022, 09:10 AMyes, but my question stands, do you know of anyone who changed their vote or even an opinion of someone based on a meme? has a meme ever changed your mind on abortion, religion, taxes, immigration, LGBTQ?

probably not. But, people always tend to think. It hasn't changed my mind, but those "idiots out there...."

Hollywood has been trying like hell to get me to vote differently than I do. So have the major news networks, so have the late night show hosts, so have the musicians. If all of them failed, why would a meme change my mind?

It sounds like you're just beyond being influenced by anyone or anything.

So how do you develop your opinions?

People like Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity do tend to get the Fox News audience wound up.
That's part of their job, and they do it well.

However, if we are being honest, Don Lemon and Anderson Cooper do the same thing on CNN, and guys like Lawrence O'Donnell and Joe Scarborough do the same thing on MSNBC.

Same shit, different network.

Truth went out the window for the sake of ratings a long time ago in the tv network news business, and just like the Democrats and Republicans in Congress, BOTH the liberal and conservative news networks are equally guilty of the same tactics.

I'm still waiting for Smit to admit he fucked up on interpreting the 2nd Amendment. People like him ALWAYS want to say the "well regulated" part but their understanding of the english language is shall we say elementary AT BEST.

Not gonna hold my breath. I may as well wait for micro bucks to arrive in the mail.

Biden had to know in advance!!

QuoteOne final, related point. The more one thinks about it, the more incredible it seems that the White House knew nothing about this. The Justice Department — in particular, those leaking on its behalf — speaks as if the issue here were the peril the nation would be in if the intelligence in Trump's possession fell into the wrong hands. That's not a law-enforcement problem; it's a national-security problem. Even if Biden were right that he must never "interfere" in the Justice Department's work (and he's constitutionally illiterate on this point because the Justice Department exercises his power as his delegate), we are not talking here about political interference in the administration of justice. We are talking about the defense of the United States from hostile forces. That is one of the president's main duties — probably his most consequential and solemn duty.

So how does Garland not tell Biden? How does Biden not call Trump, behind the scenes and without political noise, and beseech him to cooperate in returning and safeguarding this intelligence, regardless of whether Trump had already declassified it? How does Biden not call, say, Senator Lindsey Graham and former secretary of state Mike Pompeo and say, "Look, he listens to and trusts you guys. Go down there and talk to him. Get him to help us get this stuff back where it belongs. Let's not turn this into a debacle."

Quote"Let me address recent unfounded attacks on the professionalism of the FBI and Justice Department agents and prosecutors," he said. "I will not stand by silently when their integrity is unfairly attacked. The men and women of the FBI and the Justice Department are dedicated patriotic public servants every day. They protect the American people from violent crime, terrorism and other threats to their safety while safeguarding our civil rights. They do so at great personal sacrifice and risk to themselves. I am honored to work alongside them."

Well, Mr. Attorney General, if they're so professional and full of integrity, can you explain why the Wall Street Journal apparently knows the contents of all the classified documents and supposedly "top secret" documents removed from Trump's home and has apparently reviewed some of them?

Huge red flag

Like everyone. 100%
People listen to selected media in order to get a download of their opinion. Consuming MSLSD media and you'll be a brain dead. Moron. Listen to Fox News. You'll be an enlightened God fearing conservative who believes in the rule of law.
