Those around eMc for awhile will remember Robk...

I just heard this morning, via his FB page, that he and wife Linda, were both killed in a motorcycle accident. They were out in Sturgis at the time.

The details of the crash are being investigated still but looks to have happened at some point later yesterday.

That sucks.  :-[ I had heard there have been a few killed out there this year.

RIP RobK and wife.

Terrible to hear. I recall some stories from him of riding in the snow. Didn't he end up moving to a warmer climate out of Massachusetts or something like that?

I was able to search up his name on Facebook and find a bunch of public posts from their friends and family about their accident. Sounds like they may have gotten ran over from behind by a careless driver while in Montana or Wyoming on their way to Sturgis. Lots of people hit hard by this news, sounds like a great couple that touched many.

His FB profile says from Connecticut but living in Georgia.

Hey JP, Neuro, or any other Mod, you may want to throw this into one of the main forums for a bit so people get a chance to see. I doubt many people wander through the memorial forum often.

RIP to Robk and his wife, so sad to hear.

I didn't know Rob but I remember him.
He was a long time member of eMC
I think he joined in 2002 and still posted on occasion
He was an NX guy now and I always felt that his work was a couple of levels up from
what I do..
RIP

Aw man, this is sad to hear.  RIP. Sounds as if they went out doing what they loved doing

I was lucky enough to communicate directly with Rob during my NX days. Unlike some NX users I have come across, he was more than willing to help and where he was a one time Mastercam user he understood my struggles in transitioning to NX.

Very sad to hear of his passing. RIP.

RIP Rob and Linda.

Yes he was from Connecticut. I remember having a couple of riding discussions with him. Hard core ridre. Rode even in the winter in the Northeast. You have to really love it to ride year round up here.

Oh man, that is so sad to hear.

RobK really helped me when we looked at, and ended up, purchasing NX. He gave me a a whole pile of material, including training material and documentation. I still have that data stored on my server as "NX Material - RobK"

He was so helpful and friendly.

RIP Rob and Linda.

Very sad to hear. It's been a number of years now but at one time, I was considering a move to Connecticut. Rob and I exchanged emails. He offered advice on desirable neighborhoods and such. He even offered us a place to stay if we visited the area. Such a nice and helpful guy.

Rest easy, Rob and Linda
