2 Eggs over easy. I poke em' with bacon to break them open,so the yolk drips down on my 2 pancakes and syrup.

Then I go full Serial killer on them so every bite is eggy,Pancakey, syrupy, goodness.

Then I take a bite of bacon.

Wash,Rinse,repeat.

Sunday mornings are The Best. :)

While they are better for you than meat, they are still high in saturated fats and a lot of processed ingredients and chemicals. I do normally keep a bag of Impossible nuggets or meatballs in the freezer and when I need a quick simple meal I eat those. Typically I like to get my proteins from beans, soy, or lentils. I add chicpeas or edamame to a lot of dishes I make.

Add a layer of sausage wrapped around that cream cheese stuffed jalapeno, then wrap in bacon... :htu:

Another family favorite, weave yourself a bacon mat, wrap it around meatloaf, and smoke.

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Too bad for me they use wheat gluten as a primary ingredient.
If they're using any gluten then it's worse than real pasture fed beef.

Vital wheat gluten is low carb and high protein. It does not spike blood sugar like high carb processed grains do. Unless you have a gluten allergen or celiac disease, vital wheat gluten is a very healthy protein.

"Vital wheat gluten is high in protein (best for anyone on a vegetarian or vegan diet). It is an excellent source of many vital minerals such as selenium and iron. It is extremely low in fat. Vital wheat gluten is Soy-free (as opposed to tofu and tempeh)."

The "best for anyone on a vegetarian or vegan diet" says it all. It may very well be a great protein for you but it would be a desperation protein for me. How much vital wheat protein would it take to match the protein of a 1/4lb sirloin hamburger? I chose hamburger because that would be the least amount of meat I would eat.

Vital wheat gluten has three times the protein of beef. It is essentially protein isolate. It is what gives the fake meats the fibrous texture mimicking meat. Most fake meats use a lentil or bean base and vital wheat gluten to give it the texture. When I make seitan I use vital wheat gluten and chickpeas. gram for gram it has higher protein content than beef with minimal saturated fats and no cholesterol.

Gluten is exactly what it sounds like, glue. It keeps the grass seeds protected in the shell from when they drop from the grasses till the rains come in. The water will separate the seed from its shell to begin its life. Gluten isn't designed to be eaten by most animals and they will get sick if too much accumulates in their bodies.

uncooked meat can also be bad for you, but we find ways to work around that.  To say it's "worse" than beef is a pretty big generalization.   Gluten has been used as a mainstream protein source in eastern cultures for a gigabillion years.

Gluten is what makes bread GOOD.
