Well since we're poking around in the finances of former Presidents without warrants or probable cause, I think the next item on the agenda should be a complete forensic audit of the Clinton Foundation, RIGHT???

The IRS has every one of Trump's tax returns going back through the decades.

If there was anything amiss, and I mean ANYTHING, it would have been leaked a long time ago and used against him.

Funny thing is I am running my own business and learning more and more of the tax things myself. There are very easy ways to make your yearly taxes paid zero. However it costs a lot of money to do that, such as reinvesting in your business by purchasing new equipment. Many people don't realize that you can pay off your business taxes simply by upgrading. Why throw your money away to .gov who will just piss it away, and with nothing for you to show for it, when you can build your business?

There are thousands of laws(loopholes) everyone can use to ease their tax burden, and being mad at someone that didnt make those laws and is legally using them to lower their taxes is just asinine.

In simple words for even a democrat to understand; don't hate the player, hate the game.

yup.. I spent 20 years building a small job shop. I owned 49% and was supposed to get 49% of the profits.
They way the taxes were done there were never any profits and I finally realized I was being had and there
never would be any profits. I had a serious talk with my partner and gave him a couple of years
to make things right. It became clear nothing was going to change so I sold my 49% and moved on.
The business did not survive.

I ran my own business for a couple years. The education I received at the hands of a few lawyers and accountants was SO eye opening.

I became a MUCH better employee after that experience. I never once questioned why the company was spending X, Y, or Z when on the outside it looks like a bad decision. If one looks at purchases/leases/investments/expenditures through the lens of it's tax implications, there's a whole other game that 97% of the american public has no clue about. Of course when Warren Buffet proclaims his secretary pays more taxes than he does he's being a little more than disingenuous. Then again, he probably feels a strong need to crank up the outrage meter so the idiot sheep get their pampers in a bunch for laughs.

Notice Smit became absent from the thread when reality stepped up to the plate. We are considered bigots and hate filled for suggesting that runnign your own business and demanding proof of wrong doing as required by law should be the method in which things are done. Two thoughts on this;

First, the IRS is the agency tasked at reviewing tax returns and referring criminal actions for prosecution. You can ba assured if they found something in Trump's taxes that was criminal they would pursue it, or at the least leak it to the press. None of that has happened. This is just another smear tactic. They will find something in his taxes they can misrepresent and spin to keep their dumbsmit emotionally lead followers riled up.

Second, the left loves to claim how dumb Trump is. There are literally hundreds of doctors, psychiatrists, etc. that have written articles/blogs/posts about how low IQ Trump is. Yet for all of their attempts, the entire left media, politicians, etc. can't seem to make any of these supposed illegal atrocities stick. You then have to wonder, is it just that it is all made up to keep the ignorant left voters angry, or is it that the collective IQ of the left is even lower than that of Trump.

The main thing I thought was humorous was Trump keeps running back to the Supreme court because to my mind he thinks they're going to support him out of loyalty. After all, he did pretty much turn the supreme court into a Republican institution. But they slapped him down.

A secondary thing is it's humorous seeing all the Trump cultists jumping to his defense and whining about how they're persecuting him without cause. He's an honest businessman, just like them. 

Apparently there are a whole lot of courts, including the supreme court, who disagree with you. Since Trump refused to submit his tax returns for examination even though every other president has done it since Nixon and he also refused to remove himself from his business holdings I think it's understandable people want to see if he used the office of President to enrich himself.

Of course most of you guys don't give a tiny shit about that. You're gonna defend your orange God because that's what you're programmed to do.

It's also kinda humorous how people wanna whine about "smearing" Trumps name while also whining on about Hunter Biden's laptop.

I Like they slapped him down means the balance of the Justice system is doing its job. The Left Leaning people should then shut up about it being republican stacked, but no they want to make it 500 or 1000 or 1,000,000 justices until they can get the law to lean left when it shouldn't lean either direction.

Honest and within the law are two completely different things here. Just because many of us choose to be honest and legal doesn't mean we think others are doing the same thing. So you have personally seen all of those tax returns and verified them yourself? Or did you read about them somewhere? You had to so then you are just parroting a narrative you want to support your idea that bypasses the idea of the judicial system of this country.

I think the guy is a idiot and don't care for him to be our president that is not issue with the whole thing. The issue is the nothing burgers the press keeping turning it into and ignorant people who have never walked a day in the shoes of a business owner making parroted comments about things they have no clue about.
