When you purchase a Matsuura machine does a Camplete post come with it free of charge?  What is the maintenance cost to keep up support on it after year one?  I seen a demo of it at IMTS a couple years ago and it looked cool...

It comes included with all 5-Axis Matsuura machines... at least in the US. Maintenance runs about $1,500/year last I saw. That includes all the updates and support.

It is great software. I've configured it and use it for Post Processing even unsupported machines because it's just that much better than a Mastercam post.

We have a few customers that have chosen to not maintain the software (even though they use it). I support them as best I can. There's a lot of things that become limiting factors the longer the time off maintenance. One main problem is the plug-ins for software. There are plug-ins for Mastercam (X8, X9, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021). If not on maintenance, the latest you can run would be what was the latest before your maintenance expired. So let's say your maintenance expires Dec. 31. A new plug in comes out Dec. 30th. You can install and run that one. If CAMplete puts out a new one on January 1st, you can't install and run that one. You have to run the build from December 30th.

I've always been a fan of software maintenance. Some software it feels liek they are just taking your money, CAMplete is not that way (so far). They are always adding new stuff, and they absolutely without question fix bugs that customers bring to their attention. Sometimes within hours, but usually within days or weeks. ALWAYS within months. I found a bug one time in the morning (Pacific time) and they had a new build to test that afternoon. No lie.

I can attest to this 100%. Ivan and Danish are both top notch applications techs. I have had fixes and/or questions answered within hours most times. Never more than a couple of days. Doosan now ships Camplete with all 5 axis machines. They are even supporting HMC's now too.

If you already have CAMplete for say your Matsuura, additional machines and NC Formats for nearly all Haas, some Hurco, some Kern, some Mazak, and some Okumas are available at no charge.

Such a powerful tool AND user customizable posts for those who wish to engage innthat.
