There was some audio going around back when that story came out. A reporter started drilling Trump as he was trying to get in his ride and he repeated the same thing, only more bluntly.

All of the behind-closed-door meetings and anonymous voting is finished.

It looks like Jim Jordan will have enough votes to win it.

Insiders say the first vote may have a few disgruntled McCarthy supporters cast token votes for him in protest of his removal, but the second vote (if necessary) will probably put Jim Jordan over the top.

I have always liked the guy personally because he has often been one who is not afraid to swim against the current in the DC swamp.

As Speaker I think he will do a great job.

The Dems are all smiles, so I am assuming Jordan didn't get the 217 votes he needed.

If they take a second vote today, and it looks more like a funeral, we will know he won...
