You know how Democrats of certain protected groups love to hide behind that status and use it as a reason you should not question them. I feel like McCain and Crenshaw both tried to play the war hero card when people criticized them. Don't get me wrong, their sacrifices were great and they deserve the war hero status, but it doesn't mean they don't have to answer for selling out to the swamp.

What freaks me out, is that he's making deals for cabinet seats and we could end up with some of the biggest wackos in politics on positions they shouldn't be in.

No worries, in the new house Adam Schiff, Ilhan Omar, and a few other lefty whackos are not going to be on any committees.

Yeah that was pretty whacko, but as far as how she votes and what she preaches, she is about the most small gov, freedom loving member of congress. She did however endorse McCarthy for speaker. I do wonder though if she saw it as inevitable and wanted to get on his good side for committee assignments, being that Pelosi removed her from previous assignments.

Sarcasm aside, my frustration with this process is that they are willing to put obviously unqualified people in to those positions as a bargaining chip. I mean, if we agree that Pete Buttigieg is obviously unqualified to be the secretary of transportation and has no business being in that position, it would make us a hypocrite to accept someone for one of those positions just because they vote the way we want them to. And I don't limit that to one side of the isle.

to add: the concessions that McCarthy has already made would make him mostly useless as a speaker anyway wouldn't they?

Just to be clear, the Speaker of the House appoints House Committee positions, not cabinet positions.
Those are appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate.
But your point is valid.

The luggage stealing shows a lack of moral character, whether the person is trans or not.
