I got a plain jane Version X mpmaster based HMC post here
I've been using it for years with no issues
I sent a file to the floor last week that almost bit me.
It was a dead simple file, with all output at B0.
B0 was omitted. Had the operator not noticed it, we'd have had a very expensive
piece of scrap.
If I add a toolpath that outputs a rotary move, all the operations get B0 output.
Someone has tweaked my post but I can't find the tweak
I've got
rot_on_x = 0   set to zero

but I'm still not getting B output if the file has no rotary motion
Any idea where else I should be looking??

Do those still have a switch to VMC or HMC?

Early in the post in the switches

gcode

Yes
I downloaded this from Inhouse in 2008

JParis

Obvious question...is it set to HMC?

Might also check the Machine def but 2008 I don't think was hooked up at that point

gcode

found it

  if vmc = 0 & tlplnno$ <> 2, sav_rot_on_x = rot_on_x
           if vmc = 1 & tlplnno$ > 1, sav_rot_on_x = rot_on_x
sav_rot_on_x = rot_on_x    #Uncomment this line to output rotary axis value even when it's not used

It's weird though
I uncommented it and it had no effect
I reloaded the machine and it had no effect
I loaded another machine that post properly and got good result

then I reload the post causing trouble and got good results

Not outputting a B rotation value?  I don't believe X+ would have caught that either

gcode

Vericut MIGHT have caught this, if it had the proper flags set
