Gonna have to ship those Chinese machine castings overland that much further if they go to Nevada.

Probably STILL cheaper than doing business in The People's Republik of Kommieforniastan. It is downright OPRESSIVE on the regulatory side.

Likely a wash as it's closer to the end users. So they pay slightly more to get there, but less to leave.

Plus they will not have to pay the Californian import and export tax along with the sitting there tax, the we want to tax you for water drain off, the smell of making money tax, the tax to collect the tax, the we want to rip you off tax and lastly with the we are taxing you because we like to tax people tax and run business out of California Tax.

So when the Eagles sing "you can check out but you can never leave" they must be talking about taxes.

It seems to have a lot to do with F1 racing

This sounds looks like a typical PBS hit piece filtered through their "I hate all things American" lens

At any rate, without a link to the Haas supply and service chain these machines are worthless.

Haas is a world wide organization, and I'm sure you can find parts of the black market, but keeping them running long term will prove impossible

It's also easy to believe given Gene Haas' relationship with playing by the rules. Forgive me if I'm ready to believe negative press about a rich guy who evaded taxes. @#!% 'em.

I believe it about the taxes
He was convicted of it and I believe he actually did time for it.

As for the NPR hit piece.. the libs have their panties in a wad cause
Haas is building a huge manufacturing facility in Nevada and scaling back operations in LaLa Land

The fact you highlighted that he is "rich"... whatever that means... still can't get an envious leftist to give a precise definition of what "rich" is or means that is even remotely non-subjective.

You singled out rich guy. Had you just said "tax evader" then we'd think you didn't like tax evaders, but you specifically said rich guy, so that says you're fine with poor people evading taxes, but rich people 'fuck em'. And it's been the way lefties think as of recently.

Fixed to be More Specific. :)

That's what YOU infer from that. I described what he is, a rich guy that evaded taxes. It's particularly 'rich' when a rich guy evades taxes, hence mentioning it.

And if you need 'rich' defined and don't think Gene Haas is rich... then you guys are willfully ignorant, or just stupid.

It's kinda scary to see right wingers outline the thought processes they use to get where they want to be.
