Imma go out on a limb here and predict that Larry picks KU to win it.
Yeah I know...call me crazy.

I went with Houston just to be different than the Purdue mania that seems to be all the rage this year.

It won't surprise me at all if Purdue does win the tournament, but when you have a dominant big man you gotta keep him out of foul trouble.
He's definitely a monster in the paint, but it remains to be seen if they can keep him in until the end of every game through the whole tournament.

Del.

I saw where Charles Barkley went with Alabama.

That's the kiss of death.

Ya never know, I may decide to mix it up this year. Who would pick against a team who has a fkn giant?

Not really. We'll put defense on the giant like he hasn't seen all year long if we do happen to meet. :)

Yeah I was just estimating on that one.

I saw him holding the ball over his head and the other team's players jumping up trying to touch it. LOL

^ He scored the easy bucket.

I don't feel that Purdue's guard play is good enough to go all the way.

It'll surprise the hell outta me. Matt Painter coached teams are always the best at one thing, choking.

Pfft. No as bad as us lately.

Exactly.
Playing him tight with smothering D is all you can do to try to contain him.
If he starts getting frustrated with that, the fouls will add up.

If he maintains his discipline it's almost like playing 6 on 5... :foreheadslap:

Painter led teams have been in the tournament 15 out his 19 years coaching. Pretty good, right?

But zero final 4s and only 1 elite 8 appearance.

He's had better teams than this and blew it. But he's never had a better player than Edey.

I believe he rarely gets in foul trouble and is a good free throw shooter.

Oh no doubt Zack is a dominant force, and a very disciplined player.
But as Larry said, if a good defensive team can pressure him enough they can try to get him off his game.
That's all you can do against a guy like that.

There is a good chance Purdue will run into either Duke or Tennessee in the sweet 16. Duke has two 7 footers, and Tennessee is a big, tough team.

There are no easy brackets in the tournament but the East is tough.
