I'm currently sitting in the Cleveland Clinic waiting room while my wife is in surgery. Just got an update that everything is going well. Overall I have to say the CC is world class. They have their sh!t together. All day yesterday for all the pro op tests and so far this morning everyone has been super friendly and helpful. Super organized. They even worked with our insurance to get the pre-approval. In MN everyone thinks Mayo is the best but from our experience they don't have anything to brag about when compared to CC.

As far as Cleveland, it looks like an old, rundown, neglected city. We decided to stay fairly close so I can run back and forth quickly while she is still admitted. For the most part everyone we have interacted with has been friendly. We found a great vegan taco restaurant on Tuesday.

Hopefully she will only be in the hospital for a day or two. We booked our VRBO until Monday.

That sounds terrible,  ;D  but I hope everything else goes well for her.

The tacos were fantastic. Three for $10. I tried all three variations. There was a tofu crumble traditional style taco, a seitan "chicken" taco, and a bbq jackfruit taco with slaw. The jackfruit was the best.

Best of luck Doug! And knowing many people working for Mayo I can attest to it not being all that great. There are some awesome things they are doing, but it is not a blanket statement fully dependent on department.

Hope all goes well.

Actually, meat/dairy tacos and hookers both increase your risk of disease  ;)

I had a vegan lunch today! Potatoes, carrots, onions.

And a massive amount of corned beef...

I actually "might" by accident....but ask a vegan what "Vegen" is and you'll get 10 different answerrs from 10 different people...that said...

I had Tuna w/lettuce wraps and 2 hardboiled eggs...

Sounds like Fish & Chicken with some dry seaweed to me   :D
