Probably smart of them not to drag this through the mud.  I would have enjoyed seeing how it turned out. :D

Doesn't insurance pay for this now that they've settled? Anyone know how this works?

Saw this or reddit.

QuoteDominion attorneys after their lawsuit against Fox News was just settled for $787.5 million

That's too bad. I was looking forward to that trial. Oh well, Smartmatic is next. I'm sure after the Dominion exposure it will be settled out of court much more quickly and likely for more money.

I'd like to believe the Fox people will be a little shocked and disappointed to find out they were misled so easily but I really doubt they'll care at all.

Lot of money. Kind of. A little disappointed, but it was rigged. FOX knew they had to settle.

40% for the lawyers yeah I would be giving a thumbs up and smiling also.

Imagine if all News organizations had to be held accountable for their false reporting???

They had to settle for sure. I mean, the didn't have to, but it was smart of them to. They were caught red handed.

Out of curiosity, how was it "rigged"?

I understand that they need to be protected in case of a 'mistake'.  It would be nice if there weren't so many 'mistakes' these days. :D

Fox only settled because they cannot guarantee a fair trial in an objective court. That is why Dominion filed in a liberal friendly court. If it went to trial Dominion would have to expose all of their proprietary software/systems to Fox's experts for cross. Dominion doesn't want that as evidenced by their stonewalling of court subpoenas in other cases that have tried to get access.

Mistakes or deliberate mis-leadings? What is the saying tell a lie enough times is becomes the truth?

What I mean is the liberal biases where the trial would have been held. FOX wouldn't have a chance, and they know that - hence, they settled out of court.

And YoDoug's post explained why that also wasn't in the best interest of Dominion, otherwise, they would have demanded a larger settlement payout. 787 million used to be a huge sum of money but not today. A drop in the bucket for FOX.

That, and they literally have texts of fox anchors saying that they don't believe the shit that they are telling their viewers.  I mean, it's still difficult to prove malice, but we know what they were doing and why.  That was obvious.

How do you know that they would care?

Wonder which alphabet agencies got to Fox?
Seems discovery would be a huge detriment to dominions...er.... I mean deep state shenanigans.

Well it's not over yet. Smartmatic apparently has even more evidence than Dominion.

QuoteStill hanging in the balance is voting software company Smartmatic USA's defamation case, which is seeking $2.7 billion in damages – over $1 billion more than Dominion initially sought in its lawsuit.
