I just hope I can get out before the legislature makes it so putative that I can't. And yes, they are having those very discussions now to penalize us for leaving.

I saw one article that was talking about the lefties proposing a big CA property sale tax that would be offset if you buy another property in CA within a year. The idea was a huge penalty for those leaving the state.

Funny but several years ago we had a couple who would stay at our B&B twice a year while traveling to and forth from their winter home to their summer home. They lived summers in Alaska and winters in Maine. Definitely not your average snow birds.
