For that utterly stupid Black Cleopatra bullshit.
I hope they get every penny. Even though they probably won't.

I've read that some of the pharaohs were black but I haven't read that about Cleopatra.

I was under the impression that she was Greek.

I guess this worries me because it opens the door for them to sue Graham Hancock and Randall Carlson because they are changing the history Egypt as well by proving historians wrong. I believe Graham has even been banned from Egypt.

I should also note that this is the first I have heard of this case, so maybe the little bit if research I have done of it is different than the whole story/truth.

Quote from: Newbeeee™ on May 25, 2023, 08:29 AMIf you dig, it looks like the Sphinx was originally an "African shaped face", which is probably why, the nose and ears were deformed and bricked up....

And if you dig further the sphynx has been rebuilt multiple times due to damage and water erosion.

And it's unthinkable that an AFRICAN queen could possibly be BLACK.   :fun:

The nose and ears are busted up because a British artillery unit used it a training target back in the day

Quote from: Newbeeee™ on May 25, 2023, 10:59 AMSome might say the reason why it was used as a target, was because of the shape of the ears and nose....

I always assumed it was a drunken bet between some arrogant British  artillery officers with zero respect for
3000 year old artifacts.

"Cleopatra VII Phiopator (Greek: Κλεοπάτρα Φιλοπάτωρ) – Philopator meaning "Beloved of her father" – was a member of the Ptolemaic dynasty. The Ptolemies originated from Macedonia, an ancient Greek kingdom in northern Greece. Cleopatra was a descendant of Ptolemy I Soter, the founder of the dynasty and a former general of Alexander the Great. After Alexander's death in 323 BC, Ptolemy I was able to secure a kingdom for himself in Egypt."
