QuoteThe House this week will be flooded with talk about UFOs and unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), as a House panel gets set to hold a hearing on the increased sightings of such objects.

Frustrated lawmakers are demanding more information on UFOs and UAPs, which grew as a topic of discussion after an Air Force veteran and former member of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency claimed that the government is holding back information about UFOs. That individual, David Grusch, is among the witnesses slated to testify.

count me among the skeptical. Voyager1 is currently traveling at 61,000 fps. (1/16 speed of light) It will take it 30,000 years to get through the oort cloud. for reference a 30-06 shoots about 2800 fps. It takes 2 light years for the sun's light to penetrate to the outer edge of the oort cloud.

Even if Aliens discovered some worm hole to help them move faster, that worm hole would have to be located within our solar system to be effective in getting to us in order to have a manned ET on board.

a second point, if the US has had captured alien vessels since the 70's, we still have not been able to duplicate the technology, they have found. If the had, that technology surely would have shown up in NASA's space craft in some form or another. But as of now, our launching technology is still not that different from the 1960's in comparison to what people are claiming to see from UFO's. It's hard to believe having that technology right in front of them that, they can't figure it out.

McCarthy has most likely brought up the best point in all of this. "The Military has not asked for more money due to any alien technology findings."

They don't need to, it's called the black budget, they get the super secret money that nobody is allowed to see.

Because maybe we humans aren't as smart as we think we are?  :headscratch:

I always thought Bob Lazar was quite credible in his claims of being one of our best and brightest minds who were assigned to basically reverse engineer the technology in a secret research facility in Nevada.

It is quite possible in my opinion that we never got beyond a rudimentary understanding of that kind of advanced technology, much less being able to replicate it.

I watched the Bob Lazar - Joe Rogan episode. I still can't make up my mind if the guy is credible or not.

I forget where I heard it, but an ex government official once said something along the lines of "The government isn't coordinated enough to keep a secret from the public". That's my honest point of view anytime a conspiracy theory comes up.

As for UFO's, I believe if "aliens" figured a way to travel through outer space, they probably also have a way to go undetected by us humans. Sort of like Men in Black.

We haven't had any exponential gains since the 60's. IF we have alien technology in our posessio, it would be the equivalent of giving a Cray XT4 to an infant.

We're not even in the same Galaxy of being as smart as we think we are. We're still learning BASIC shit about the human body.

QuoteWhen it comes to the extreme isolation of work, it's not just about keeping information out of the hands of foreign adversaries. Sometimes components are cordoned off from each other because you may have two different contract partners from the same industry working on different aspects of a SAP.  In essence, caution must also be taken to ensure industrial partners don't "borrow" each other's trade secrets.
I worked in a wind tunnel model shop in the 90's... we were doing work for two different DoD contractors that were competing for a contract. We had a DoD guy in the building that made sure that the contractors weren't in the building at the same time, nor seeing the other company's work. Our department had 3 sets of filing cabinets. One for company X, one for Company Y, and another for the rest of the stuff. We programmers had to.coordinate when we were working on X, or Y.

To this day, I've not seen what we worked on in public or even discussed and that was a long time ago. Makes me wonder/think the project was canceled all together. Even the F-117 in the late 70's early 80's that was at the time the highest security clearance ever required.. sn that came out in public within 10 years IIRC.

I do love this business. You see all kids of cool stuff... and a lot of it you have no idea where it's going or what it's purpose is.
