The thing is, people have been getting fired for being dumbasses on social media for a long time now.

If a person gets fired for that they usually have little recourse. Now maybe some lawyers might take a shot at it just for some cash but other than that I don't think Musk is taking much of a risk. He is just currying favor with Trumpers.
