This is just unbelievable:

In a lengthy look at the manner in which Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas entered a circle of wealth and power, the New York Times makes mention of the relationship between Thomas, Jones, and the Cowboys.

As chairman of the EEOC, Thomas appeared in a PSA from the Cowboys regarding equal employment opportunity. Per the report, Thomas then struck up a friendship with Jones.

Thomas, according to the Times, has flown on Jones's private jet, attended training camp practices, and when the team played in Washington sat in Jones's private suite. The article also states bluntly and matter-of-factly that Jones gave Thomas a Super Bowl ring.

Thomas should be thrown in jail for this kind of treasonous bribery scandal!

a few weeks ago, after 2 elected democrats referred to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas by a racist slur, Senator Kennedy introduced an amendment to a bill that denounced the racist slurs against him. Democrats refused to include the amendment to the bill. Holding out to also condemn any racist comments by elected officials directed to other justices, although none of them could point out any racist comments to any other justices other than Clarence Thomas.

A Google search brought up a whole bunch of stuff about Thomas getting a Super bowl ring, and one article from Fox news suggesting people close to Thomas say it was a replica.

Beej, I know that's what you want to hear but it sure doesn't sound settled to me. At all.

Unless the Dallas Cowboys or Jerry Jones himself has or had a pending case before the Supreme Court (which they do not, to my knowledge), this is just more politically motivated mud-slinging at Justice Thomas.

He's still obligated to report a gift of that size. But I'll agree if they didn't have business before the court it's not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things.

But on top of the other shit he's not reported it's certainly not nothing.
