I need to find a way to avoid getting that little tit on the backside when parting off.
I don't have a sub spindle or tailstock.
Anybody got a trick or special parting tool they have used in the past?
The part is 1/4 dia. and same length.
I keep trying to imagine some contraption that mounts to the turret and acts as a sub spindle.

Figured this was the best group of guys to ask.

Those little tits are almost always a function of a tool being ever so slightly below center.

An insert with a negative edge edge clearance helps as well as then the edge cutting the back face is the leading edge.

Even if there is nothing supporting the front end and the part is simply falling off?

It "can" but yes, that can be tricky, keep the rad on the tool as small as you can. There's no 2 ways about that.

Try using a parting insert that is angled instead of parallel to the Z axis.

You might also decrease your feed rate at the end to give it time to machine and avoid snapping, you might need to groove a relief first behind the part, then go in for the kill, need to avoid chip buildup too that prevents cutting, a lot of the stuff above is good advice,

You might also do a roughing with your wide part off and finish with a thinner one that will excert less pressure
