I think you are misunderstanding me. The emotions of the majority of protestors were real (in both the J6 and George Floyd protests) so in that sense they were not just political demonstrations. But the reality presented to them by media and politicians was a facade.

now listen close because I know this is already being misconstrued as I type this. The knee on George Floyd's neck was terrible and it was a real occurrence. What is not real is the perception that cops everywhere are out to get black men and kill them. If you recall, there was a white man killed in his hotel in Las Vegas right around the same time. He was unarmed. Told to knee and keep his hands up when his pants started to fall down, he reached for them and he was shot by the police. So an unarmed white man was killed by the police and there were no riots. the difference there was that black people have been fed a lie by the media that you consider not to be on the "fringe."

I believe that jan6th happened because the media that the protestors were listening to also did the same to them. People are being fed lies and they are believing them. I think that you are being fed lies and are believing them. I probably am too. But I'm learning more and more to sift through this stuff and think for myself. which is why I say so often I am feeling more and more politically homeless, even if my views would be considered conservative by most.

I will say the stats per capita of blacks and native Americans killed by cops shows the disparity clearly.

You can't ignore/dismiss that and understand why people are protesting.

can you use the same logic to say that there is a disparity between the amount of men vs the amount of women killed by cops? or the amount of tattooed people vs non-tattooed people who are killed by cops are cops prejudiced against green?

If you look at those questions and say well clearly men tend to be more likely to commit a crime than women, or that tattooed people tend to commit more crimes than non-tattooed people, then why is it that skin color is singled out?

Also 80% of crime is intraracial according to FBI stats. white on white, black on black, etc. Could you explain why a disproportionate number of the victims of crime are black? These are questions that don't get asked on CBS, NBC or ABC.

Now I would agree that you could make a case, a strong case in fact, that the black on black crime stats has to do with impoverished living, but that would not put the impetus on cops who shot 389 white men vs 225 black men in 2022. I would say that puts the impetus on the local politicians in the areas where these impoverished people live.
