Someone explain to me why stopping this pipeline helps climate change.

It doesn't. Wildlife like the heat it generates.

Hearing potentially 11,000 well paying jobs could be lost. 2 billion in lost wages for Canada. Trudeau pissed. 200 high paying jobs were immediately lost on day one.

What happens when corporate taxes and wealthy folks taxes are raised. Don't you think they will just move out of the country with their business.

they will continue shipping Canadian crude to the US as well using trucks and trains.
It will cost much more, pollute much more and kill people when trucks have accidents

and while I'm on my soapbox,
the US has reduced it's carbons emissions far more than any nation who signed the useless Paris Accords.
We did it by fracking and using the resulting natural gas to replace coal fired power plants

Germany is near the point where they will have to ration electricity
They've gone so green they don't have enough power.
Wind farms only work when the wind is blowing and solar farms only work when the sun is shining

the paris accord has no teeth. The countries that agree to it don't actually HAVE to do anything, they're just expected to.
