2024 (predictions?)

Having lived my entire natural born life in the Pacific Ring of Fire minus the last 8 months, it takes at least a 4.x for me to even notice. There are quakes nearly all the time. Mostly 1.x and 2.x.

During the Sylmar quake in 1972, my mom/dad told me I was standing in my crib and it was rolling around on our hardwood floors as my dad was chasing it... they say I was laughing. I personally don't recall the event. I was probably 2 at the time. The next quake I remember was Whittier in 1988 (IIRC). I was in PE playing tennis and I could see the asphalt on the basketball court rippling. It was WILD.

Now I'm pretty sure I live within the Yellowstone caldera.

I was sitting on the Curb on my street when Sylmar Hit. Pretty sure that was early in the morning.
The wires on the poles overhead were whipping like a jump rope. I remember them showing pics of a red Pick up
that was under an overpass when it fell. It was about a foot tall when they got it cleared.

I heard a funny story about the recent quake here on the east coast.

Some guy in New Jersey was right in the middle of having a vasectomy when the quake hit.

He posted on Twitter later that the most frightening words he ever heard in his whole life were when the quake started, and the doctor looked at the nurse and said, "Here...hold this..."

"I was at the mall yesterday and walked into the bookstore. I asked them if they had Trump's new book on how to deport illegal immigrants."

It's so funny what people are afraid of! When folks heard we were moving to CA they said "they've got earthquakes!" When folks out here heard we were from IL they said "they've got tornadoes!"

I missed the '89 Loma Prieta earthquake but a friend who was driving on 280 (freeway that runs north-south up the peninsula in the SF Bay Area) claims that he saw the ripple moving up the road, like you were shaking a blanket! WOW!

Trump will lose. For the same reason Killary lost in 2016.
