I knew Machining Cloud was teaming up with MSC & today got a e-mail confirming this. If you are an MSC customer you can use Machining Cloud for $1250/yr now, vs $1490. The thing they are bragging up is one can build assemblies in machining cloud, then MSC will sell you all the shit. Seems like a rip off to me. I figured it would be available at no cost to MSC customers....

Or they are working to eliminate all the MSC customer reps. Some I have worked with are very good, others not so much. Most just seem to push the flavor of the month...or push whatever vendors products that was nice to them recently.

So does anyone use or know of anyone that uses this?

We are heavily integrated with Iscar and you can get all of their models/assemblies at their site. There is absolutely no value gained to pay anything for Machining Cloud.

MC was barely of use when it was free for the user. Not getting all MFGs to pay to play just blew up their business model and switching to an expensive fee base is just insane.
I central library of all industry tooling is a great efficiency for an industry as a whole, but it kinda needs a government backing like NIST/ISO or such equivalent as standardizing railroad gage BITD
