So Mom had a stroke in November and is rehabing.

I planned a trip with my older brother, He's scared to fly so I drove down to Alabama and we jumped a plane to Chicago. Stayed for two days then flew back yesterday morning. Chicago to Alabama, picked up a rental and drove back.

So. Illinois,Alabama,Tennesee, Fucktucky and Indiana. WHEW!!!

So up at 3:30 A.M. and hit the house at 5:30 P.M.

Started out with a Hyundai Sonata (Nice very fast) 80 + all the way.

Nissan Rogue for 3 days (Not Bad)

Chevy Malibu 2024, Meh not impressed.

Mom is Good as can be expected.

Doesn't like the nursing home (under staffed) . and can't go home for another couple months. :'(

Sorry to hear about your Mom, but glad she's doing better.

My Mom and Dad both passed away in a nursing home, and my Dad especially hated being there.
When he lost that independence, I really think he gave up the fight.

Hoping your Mom is well enough to go back home at some point.

My daily average for a drive is two miles to work and two miles back. ;D

My GPS stating "Welcome to Alabama" etc. was pretty funny.

and I wouldn't call any of these states small. ;)

When I drive to Cleveland, I go from southern Kansas through northern Missourri, through Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. I usually stop about half way and spend the night. 8 hours driving is about my max.
