Cimatron was a late bloomer when it came to solids as well. Their first attempt was awful.  Cimatron and Camax were both amazing surfacing modelers.

I've always wanted to learn NX but never had the chance.

When I worked at Mori in Cypress, California, the UGS HQ was down the street. Didn't matter, we got no love.

My first introduction to NX/Unigraphics was when they released the first windows version of Unigraphics. V10 I think.

It was a wild bugfest, reminiscent of Mastercam V5 for Windows. That aside, quite powerful. That was back in the days when Vericut was installed with Hummingbird Exceed, and the interfaces still had a Unix feel about them.

I got quite comfortable with Unigraphics, and got back into it when we looked for an alternative to Mastercam. Ended up with NX, but this time it was a reseller in Australia. Undersupported, and oversold, it only lasted about eighteen months with us until we pulled the pin.

Rinker said they live in an area where he often hears airplanes overhead, which has been triggering since.  "We have not been on a plane since. I'm not sure when that will happen again,"

People are so fragile today. It's pathetic. I honestly don't see how people like this can even get out of bed in the morning. Kitchens and Bathrooms are WAY more dangerous than passenger air travel.

Unless you fly a Boeing plane, apparently.

I don't know, maybe I'm one of those fragile, pathetic people. Having a giant hole open in the side of the plane at 16,000 feet would be pretty traumatizing. It was just by the grace of God that no one was sitting in that row or there  would have been fatalities.

Unless they were properly wearing their seat belts, like is required during takeoff.

If someone had been sitting next to that door plug they would, at the very least, have been seriously injured. It would be tough to survive being hit with a sudden 400 mph wind.

I fly A LOT. Someday my number is gonna be up. Odds are though, it's NOT going to be by aircraft though. And even if it is, it won't dissuade me from that mode of travel ONE BIT.

Passenger air travel while inherently safe DOES pose risks. NOTHING is 100% safe.

Every time I leave the house, drive in a car, get on a plane, whatever, I know it could be the very last time I do that thing because at any moment something foreseen or unforseen could happen at any moment.  It could be my fault or someone else's. I choose to accept the risks . If people cannot accept those risks they should do us all.a favor and stay home because they ruin EVERYRHING for the rest of us and it's fuckin' bullshit!

A billion dollars... because of trauma. That's fucking insane!
