Social Media companies are going to have to verifying age now with this ban.

Are people going to be willing to send images of their photo id to social media companies as proof of age? What are the chances that these media companies just block Florida IP addresses all together to prevent lawsuits?  That was the route Pornhub took in Texas

When I changed phones recently, even with the correct password the first try, Facebook Messenger Lite claimed my identity needed verification, and to simply take a snapshot of my government issued photo ID and a signature to unlock my account. Fuckity fuck that.

It has, and will remain locked and deleted for inactivity. I already took down all my pictures years ago and moved to the Lite version of the messenger only to keep in contact with a few family members.

We know that people WILL send in their ID's, no question. I do believe it is part of the big push to have a digital ID across all platforms and services. Digital currency when? Digital-only passport when? Slippery slope, and folks up here in Soviet Canuckistan are quite complacent and happy to give up liberties - not even for protection. The amount of times I have heard, "why do I care about privacy? I have nothing to hide" boggles my mind, and sets the framework for giving up our rights at every angle.

I haven't seen a list of which Social Media platforms will be banned for minors but I assume it's all of the big ones. This isn't just going to affect the kids. It's going to screw literally everyone in Florida.

Maybe they need to get off of social media anyway.

As for Social media co's tracking you, if you have an Android or iPhone both track and sell all your data to anyone willing to pay for it. They already know who you are, where you live, what kind of hobbies/cars/food/chicks/dudes/etc you are into. They keep track of everywhere your phone goes. A lot of the J6 defendants were identified by their phone GPS data.
