I have been tracking Schauffle for a while and he has been playing the best golf of his career lately.
I'm surprised for a smaller guy how far he hits it.
Very impressive driving distance and accuracy. 
No surprise he finally broke through to win a major.

Yes, Scheffler did something very stupid, and yes, the PGA went into full damage control.
Luckily the only damage done was apparently to the feelings of the cop.

But still, Scheffler should have stopped and talked to him and asked if players in the tournament were going to be allowed to enter the course.

Instead he apparently just flashed his tour credentials and kept going when the cop told him to stop, so that is 100% on him.

He's not exactly Public Enemy #1 for a traffic incident, but yeah, he screwed up and whatever the penalty is, he needs to pay it.
