With all of the focus on Tiger, and now Scheffler, don't miss how well Xander Schauffele has been playing.

Shooting an opening round of 62 on that course is amazing enough, and he also set a PGA record by being the only player in PGA Tour history to shoot 62 in more than one major.

IMO it sounds like there was a complete misunderstanding of the situation. Would certainly be nice to see bodycam or other video before coming to any major conclusions like that.

This doesn't sound like a misunderstanding to me:

"Scheffler proceeded around the accident in the direction of the golf course, when a police officer latched himself to Scheffler's car. According to ESPN's Jeff Darlington, Scheffler allegedly continued to drive 10-15 yards at a slow speed with the officer attached to Scheffler's vehicle before the car came to a stop and Scheffler was arrested."


Now he's on damage control to save humiliation.
If that were any of us normies, we'd be forcefully arrested, tossed in jail and they would take a day or two to sort things out.

But every account I have heard was of an overzealous, douchebaggy, self important cop throwing around his authority.
