I survived the 60's, 70's and 80's. The quality of hallucinogenics started going downhill in the mid 70s.

Not The Shrooms !! In the late 80's they had an influx of Acid in Illinois. Blue Barrel, 4 way Window Pane,  Dragonfly.

I got off work 2nd shift drove through my lil Podunk town and saw the lights on at the laundromat A whopping 8 machines.
went home picked up my Laundry and went back and dropped a Dragonfly. When I got there the lights were out But the door was open so I said F'it. I left the lights off cause I was getting Paranoid of the one Popo in town cruising past. Stared at that dryer with the laundry spinning for what seemed like 4 Hours. The freakin streets were Empty and I kept waiting for Headlights.

I felt guilty folding my Underwear . Bwahahah Got done drove home and Cracked a few Stroh's to Straighten out .

I thought doing laundry would get me Arrested. LOL!!!

aaaaaand just like that I'm negative. :D

Speaking of the 80's... our hallucinogens may not have been quite as good as the 60's and 70's but our cocaine and PCP was PRIMO!

I am surprised I survived the 70's. I dipped my toe in the LSD pool way more than I should have. Maybe I am just more enlightened now?

For all the flaws in Law Enforcement in the 70's and 80's... they at least had some discretion to give someone a break if they were so inclined.

Case in point... I was about 12... maybe 13 growing up in the San Gabriel Valley of Southern California... Rowland Heights to be specific. Our local LE was run out of the City of Industry Sheriff Station since we were an unincorporated part of the county. Meanwhile back at the ranch, my buddy and I are dusting off a 12 pack at the local park. We're probably 8 or so in. 50 rolls up on us. Officer Grey and some new guy I didn't recognize. We'll call him NFG. So I put my beer down. My friend didn't. NFG tells us to "...start getting rid of it...", so, I dump mine out and I'm getting ready to get one of the full ones to start dumping it, and my buddy starts chugging his. Officer Grey smiles and nods at me and NFG comes unglued at my friend. Long story short, I went home that night. My friend went down to the Sherrif's station. Today, we'd both be going to the station no matter what. One of the many breaks Officer Grey gave me. He was always right there just before I was ready to do or participate in something life altering for some reason. Maybe he was my guardian angel. Maybe he liked a few of us. Maybe he figured keeping an eye on us kept him away from the really dangerous shit going on in our city. Who knows. All I know is he was a good man and never did anything to us we didn't deserve... and we weren't just a bunch of white kids either. We were the United Nations.

Viva le Politzie state!

Our State has had mask mandates since last April or May, and we've been on our second lock down since November.  What more could he possibly do?

He could Mandate a Nationwide lockdown stopping all Commerce and Traffic.

It would result in Paralyzing the economy. Cause panic buying again.

And not change a thing .

We already have a wave of panic buying going on here.

I doubt that he would be dumb enough to lock down all Commerce and Traffic. Maybe I should rephrase that?     I haven't heard anything implying that he plans on a National lock down.  His advisors say that he's against it.

Does anyone have a link to something saying otherwise?

Our Governor here is kind of an ass hat and he's actually making efforts to allow some restaurants to re-open if they can provide what they consider adequate ventilation.  They've already started allowing some to open that have open air seating - garage style windows etc.
