The jury was rigged from the start, so this is nothing to get excited about.

The media are already spinning it as a 'questionable' Facebook post, so nothing to see here.

The judge conveniently omitted the word 'tomorrow' from his letter to counsel, so he's already on board to cover it up just as much as he was on board to convict Trump at all cost in the first place.  All they need to do is muddy the water on WHEN the comment was posted and that will be that. Worst case, they will play the Russia disinformation card again and blame Putin for hacking Facebook and planting a fake post to help his buddy Trump.

I hate to be the eternal pessimist, but this conviction will probably stand at least through November.

That is unless Trump's legal team throws a hail-Mary pass to the SCOTUS in the form of a common law writ, and they decide to hear the case, accelerating the appeals process as they did in Bush v. Gore in 2000.  :yes:
