I've got questions for you guys who do contract programming. How does that usually work as far as pay goes. Do your customers pay you per program, or per hour? And if it's per hour how do you/they keep track of those hours?

I'm thinking about getting a seat of Mastercam at home, and just wondering about the nuts and bolts of it.

I quoted by the hour, upfront, they know the cost going in, changes on their end could result in changes to pricing...short things I have a 1 hr minimum, again, quoted up front...and good repeat customers I would at times do those small one.

I did have a floating hourly cost based on the work, between 2 axis, 3 axis and 5 axis
