Never had an I phone. They cost a lot.

I've never owned an i-phone. I thought about it in the past but didn't want to get sucked in to that eco system. You'll have to post back after having it for a while and give a review.

1st Smart Phone was a BlackBerry... when those went away I migrated to the Samsung Note. Been running Notes ever since. Current phone is a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.

So... Android. 😁

I am the ONLY one in my family not in the Apple ecosystem other than my grandkids that have Gabb phones.

Had Blackberrys starting in 2007 until the Galaxys and Notes came out, Galaxy and Notes for a few years then changed jobs where they handed out iPhones. Went through 4 of them in 5 years there(constant battery issues), left that job and now back to Samsung Galaxy for 5 years. My current phone is on its way out, and can't stand to pay $1200 for a phone that I'll just drop/abuse, so likely going to take my wifes 2 year old iPhone and have her upgrade, besides the obvious changes in platforms I can handle figuring out the quirks. They all have their positives and negatives, nothing is perfect. I only use them for internet, streaming, and calls/text, nothing too demanding  that I really need to care what phone I have. As long as the battery lasts the day I'm good.

I'm going to assume that you typed that on a phone?

They do all have their pluses and minuses. Massive annoying AF is my wife's phone is ALWAYS listening. So when we're driving around town and say "look honey, a batteries plus, that'll come in handy." And she'll get battery ads on her phone for weeks. Of course I bring up firearms stuff and nothing. Fuckin' commies.

Yup

Pixel 6 here. It's about 1.5 years old. I tend to be easy on phones. My last phone (Galaxy 8+) went 4 years and no issues. The only reason I upgraded is one of my kids broke their phone and needed one to use until they could upgrade.

Generally I am too. My current phone though... I've been a little rough on it. 2 screens and it's only 2 years old.

1st screen I set it down on a machine between the control and some sheet metal and I moved the control and crunch.

2nd screen (current condition) I Iwas rock climbiandin Zion and I fell and my phone was in my back pocket screen out and took the collision with the wall as I fell about 12 feet. I'll wait a bit before I get it fixed. It has the curved edge screen (not a huge fan of by the way) amd the new ones do not. I'll probably get a new one next year.

Running a Samsung Galaxy S21+ 5g
I've had it 3 years now
I had my previous Samsung 5 years and never even got a scratch.
My current phone got a bad scratch on day 2
Never did figure out how.
My next phone will be a Samsung too.

Yes, I highly dislike the curved edge as well. No point to it whatsoever, and highly limits what screen protectors you can use

What's it like to be an exec?

U get a lot more attention from girls when u go out. Less hours, a bigger stake of the take. And you are always on call, everything u do can be questioned even outside of work.

I'd say the pros outweigh the cons
