One time during my National Guard Annual Training we had a detachment of Aussies who cross-trained with our Mech Infantry battalion for a 10-day field exercise.
Nicest bunch of guys you would ever want to meet! 

Tough as woodpecker lips in the field, and when they came to party with us after the training was finished, yeah, they backed up their reputation of being hardcore drinkers as well. 

In fact, 4 or 5 of their lads went up against 4 or 5 of ours in a 14-hour marathon session of the board game 'Risk' in our barracks that the boys somehow managed to turn into a drinking game as well.

IIRC our boys 'won' the board game, but were dogshit the next day, whereas the Aussies were all standing tall the next day like nothing even happened.
